BBR's All Textures Certification (ATC) in partnership with Time's Up UK is designed to establish a collaborative professional standard for hairstylists who work across all hair textures - from straight to coily.
The certification is to help support an increased understanding and confirmation of working with various textures across different experiences. From salon to on set work, the certification helps to support building industry confidence on the ability to work with all textures. The certification builds trust and confidence with customers, production teams, talent, and agencies. Developed with industry leading hairstylists with over 100+ years of industry experience.
An online exam that evaluates foundational understanding of hair, including science, product knowledge, tool usage, and key styling principles.
A hands-on assessment, conducted in-person/ digital that requires stylists to complete 3–4 styles on mannequins representing a range of textures. Assessments are conducted by qualified educators and hairstylists.
Upon successful completion, stylists receive a formal All Textures Certification, a credential that can be added to their résumé, IMDb profile, and industry portfolios.
